KAD initiative Uganda was founded in 2013 as a community-based organization (CBO) and has since grown to serve the population of Uganda through; Advocacy and Networking, Peace building and conflict prevention.

Kad is a place to learn and grow together in Peace
We mainly work through community structures inlcuding peace monitors and community resource persons inclduing VHTs and peer educators to deliver services like follow up/referrals, and bridge the community gaps.
The community based working approach also ensures identification of beneficiaries such as vulnerable children who need the services.
Practice areas
Education
We promote reading and retention of learners in schools. Further, KAD Initiative Uganda works with partners
Health
We aim to improve access to integrated health services, including HIV prevention.
Peace Building
We support communities to live in harmony using Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Human Rights
We prioritize engaging institutions to uphold human rights and the rule of law, including preventing corruption.
Economic Empowerment
We empower households to improve their economic status through job creation.
Environment
Sustainable development is at the core of our work, and this cannot be achieved without protecting nature.
